Next Level Staffing is working with an established, worldwide company and they are seeking an experienced export compliance specialist. 

The export compliance specialist will assume responsibility for the management and continuous improvement of the company, export trade compliance strategy, programs and related projects, to ensure compliance with the export controls, laws and regulations in all countries where the company does business. 

Specialist will lead the day-to-day export operations and advise company management on trade compliance initiatives, objectives and associated risks across all business units, product lines and functions in compliance with applicable US and international customs requirements. 

Responsibilities will include:

1: Overseeing and directing export control compliance

2: Handle export procedures to ensure compliance with U.S Customs export regulations including; denied party screening, ECCN coding, NAFTA, valuation, country of origin, licensing, SAP data base, commercial invoices, record keeping and special trade programs

3: Maintain and update company customs compliance export policy and procedure manual

4: Facilitate with engineering and supply chain in their responsibility to provide technical expertise regarding parts and component classifications. Determine technology controls and licensing

5: Create and conduct employee training programs, including daily reference material

6: Interact substantially with companies parent and subsidiary companies to determine export requirements and partnering to develop ongoing compliant business/sales/operational strategies worldwide 

7: All communications, forms, documentation and interaction with US Customs, government agencies, brokers and/or freight forwarders

8: Create and provide reports as required for daily job functions or as upper management requires 

9: Regular monitoring of resources and staying abreast of ongoing changes and updates to US Government regulations, as they apply to company exports

Candidates must be able to effectively manage day-to-day activities as well as the strategic aspects of global trade compliance. Detail orientation, organization, accuracy and experience with on line tools and training is a must. This individual should have experience directing policy compliance, tracking regulatory changes, as well as training and communicating effectively across all levels of the organization, including senior executives and functional groups. Strong team player with good interpersonal skills, able to display self-mastery in fast-paced environment.

Additional qualifications include:

1: Export certification

2: Minimum 3-5 years of experience including; policy, procedure, work instructions, NAFTA, denied party screenings, ECCN and licensing

3: Minimum 1-2 years of experiences in Logistics or Supply Chain Management

4: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

5: SAP/GTS experience preferred

6: Excellent written and verbal communication skills
