Senior Customer Service Representitive

Specific Responsibilities of the Job

 

  • Provide outstanding, high-quality, reliable service to North American customers
  • Manage the full Aftermarket sales process including
    • Preparation of quotations (including pricing and availability)
    • Follow up on open quotations
    • Order intake by phone or e-mail
    • Processing of orders in the company’s ERP system (SAP)
    • Issuing sales order confirmations
    • Initiation and tracking of outbound shipments
  • Respond to inquiries and/or complaints regarding products, deliveries, pricing
  • Investigate reasons for complaints and communicate solutions to customers
  • Develop product knowledge to
    • Provide outstanding customer support
    • Promote and actively sell the organization’s products
  • Understand profitability metrics and work towards improvement of profitability
  • Extract data from SAP, transform data intoreportsandmeaningfulKPIs to
    • Monitor own open quotes and quote conversion
    • Track own sales performance
    • Monitor shipments
    • Investigate availability
    • Increase transparency on sales
    • Improve processes
  • Initiate and lead smaller projects to improve processes or general working mode
  • Coordinate activities with other departments (Production, Shipping, Quality, and Accounting)

Qualifications

 

  • Education/Credentials/Certifications
    • Bachelor’s Degree preferred in Logistics management, Business, Economics or related field
    •  
  • Length of Experience  
    • Min. 1 year experience in sales (incl. internships)
    •  
  • Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
    • Prior experience in an equivalent customer service position is preferred
    • Strong communication skills and good telephone manner
    • Prior Aftermarket Sales experience is a plus
    • Basic mechanical understanding is a plus
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
    • Bachelor’s Degree preferred in Sales, Business, Economics or related field
    • High motivation to learn and develop abilities
    • Structured working mode and excellent work organization
    • Ability to extract, transform, handle and synthesize large amount of data
    • Ability to convert data into simple reports for the management
    • Willingness to work in an international environment
    • Comfortable in approaching other departments, people and making use of resources
    • Excellent oral and written language ability
    • Fundamental mathematical ability
    • Job involves working in front of a computer screen
    •  
  • Physical Demands and Working Conditions
    • Requires long periods of sitting and using office equipment and computers
    • Requires use of hands and fingers to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls
    • May require reaching, carrying, stooping, and light strength* to transport supplies and materials
    • May require clarity of vision at 20 inches or less
